High Pressure Propane QD Hose - Quick Disconnect Gas Hose HIGH Pressure Series 5LP

■ UL and CSA approved QD hoses and couplers automatically shut off the High Pressure gas supply when disconnected and automatically turn on the gas supply when connected.

■   Couple-Safe Quick Disconnect gas couplers will deliver high pressure propane (from a propane tank) with a maximum working pressure of the hose up to 350 psi.
■   Working pressure of the coupling is 250 psi and is for use both on portable outdoor cooking appliances and stationary gas appliances like a larger, multi-burner barbecue grill.
■   High Pressure Couple-Safe gas Quick Donnect hose 5LPA plugs are compatible with the popular Hansen & Sturgis brand High Pressure gas Quick Disconnect model 5LPN. These are 1/4" ID female socket couplers but are not interchangeable with the low pressure "Snap Tite" model 250 gas Quick Disconnect 1/4" ID female socket couplers.

The PT12 "PIGTAIL" is a nine inch, 1/4" ID hose with a Sturgis Couple-Safe model 5LPN gas quick disconnect male plug and a 3/8" female gas flare fitting. It is designed to remain on the gas appliance and connected to any QD gas supply hose when needed.
One of the benefits of using a pigtail is that this keeps most of the torque from the weight and pull of the gas hose off the appliance connection. It distributes the "pull" along the entire length of the pigtail.
Having the quick disconnect fitting nine inches further away from the appliance also makes it easier to connect and disconnnect the quick disconnect fittings. Keep a pigtail on each of your gas appliances and quick connect them when needed.
